Oh Dear!
Well, if Khazboss were to end their 12 match unbeaten run then they would do it in style. A depleted Khazboss were completely outplayed by a classy Wigan side who themselves had been turned over last week. They were first to every ball and gave Khazboss few options when in possession. With Evans and Ste Murphy missing & Gregory and Cheverton still recovering and not fully fit, Khazboss were unable to cope and were made to look poor. To be fair, there were occasions of good movement and passing but at least six, if not more, goals were given away by sloppy passing on the edge of the box. Wigan made the most of this generousity in front of goal with some clinical finishing. The game took an interesting turn for the better when Cheverton took a knock on his injured knee and went in goal for a rest with Charnock coming into defence. This settled the side a bit with Khazboss' second goal arriving to save a bit of dignity. Fifteen minutes later and Cheverton was recovered enough to return to outfield and Khazboss had a five minute spell of dominance. Unfortunately, this was not long enough to score fourteen goals.

Verdict:
Whatever the excuses, Khazboss were beaten. Heavily.

Ratings:
Charnock: 5 - Poor distribution, could have done better with some shots but played well outfield. Star man simply for the effort.
Heron: 5 - Was probably the better of the outfield players.
Scott Murphy: 4 - Woeful passing. Very unusual for Scott.
Cheverton: 4 - Did not really settle until near the end. Playing with an injury didn't help though.
Gregory: 5 - Started well but had a difficult job up front alone and simply gave up later on.

A Game Of Two Halves
What an good game of football this was. Khazboss started with intent, they kept the ball well and looked capable of a few goals. This all went pear shaped however when sloppy defensive errors left a Game forward one on one with Charnock not once but twice. At two-nil down Khazboss appeared to lose control and began arguing within their own team. A classy third goal from Game left Khazboss looking down and out. However, Khazboss have been down and out before and this game was just another example of the resiliance of Khazboss when they're behind. They kept the pressure up with some lovely passing and movement and pretty soon the Game keeper was getting warm hands. As the shots came flying in, the Game defence was tested more and more and eventually was breached. To be fair, it was only the good play of the keeper who kept Khazboss from running away with the game quicker. As it was, Khazboss slowly whittled down the scoreline and were soon ahead. Game got more frustrated and lax in defence while Khazboss became more dominant to win with a convincing scoreline.

Verdict:
Khazboss showed both sides of their game in this match. Fortunatly the resiliant side come out top. They just need to stop the arguing. A great win.

Ratings:
Charnock: 7 - Safe hands and good distribution. Perhaps could have done more for two of the goals.
Heron: 7 - At fault for one goal but tried to keep arguing down and scored the equalising goal.
Ste Murphy: 5 - Ok going forward but stayed forward on too many occasions. Was part of an unorganised defence.
Scott Murphy: 6 - Was involved in bickering and a few sloppy passes but scored a wonder goal and never stopped running.
Gregory: 6 - Again involved in arguing but worked hard in attack in supplying passes. Fitness begining to return.
Evans: 7 - As ever worked hard and got the goals. Got a bit frustrated at times but was cooler than previous. Star Man.

Khazboss FC 3-3 Springfield Whites
Scorers:

Dissapointing Draw
This is a game that Khazboss could, and should have won by a cricket score. Springfield only turned up with four players, so Khazboss began at a slow pace and soon went two goals up. However, the pace remained slow and Springfield began to keep the ball more and even managed to create space for shots. Eventually another (illegal?) player joined the game for Springfield and started to attack more. Stupid defensive lapses allowed them to claw it back to two all, although Khazboss were not without chances of their own. To be fair to the Khazboss attack, the Springfield keeper played a blinder and seemed to stop everything that was sent his way. Eventually he was breached and Khazboss had the lead again. But this did not stop Khazboss playing with a lethargy that was so unusual for them. An uncoordinated defence was opened up time and again and Charnock had to be on good form to stop Springfield taking the game. With the last kick of the game, that is exactly what happened. Springfield opened up the Khazboss defence and left a player through to score and level the game.

Verdict:
Two points dropped for Khazboss. A game they should have won. Although, still unbeaten and Springfield were third.

Ratings
Charnock: 8 - Showed safe hands throughout. Star man.
Ste Murphy: 5 - Poor game. Lacked usual concentration and vision.
Heron: 6 - Good passing but poor defensively
Gregory: 6 - First game back after injury. Ok going forward but poor at the back.
Evans:7 - Seemed to want the game more than others but was unable to put usual hold on game.
Scott Murphy: 5 - Nothing seemed to go right for him.

Khazboss FC 6-6 Real Mabridge

Battle At The Top
An unusual Khazboss lineup for this match. With Gregory still out and Cheverton not recovered from last weeks injury, Khazboss were down to five. Just to make it interesting, Charnock had an elbow injury and so started in defence with Ste Murphy beginning in goal. Real Mabridge were in second place before this game and began like they wanted the win. With the untried defence of Charnock and Heron, Mabridge soon began to attack and eventually scored a decent goal. With a lack of fitness slowing Charnock down and a better attack required, Charnock went back in goal and Ste Murphy came out. Khazboss began to play much better an were soon 2-1 up. Gradually Khazboss took full control of the game with Mabridge getting more and more frustrated, although both goalkeepers were kept busy with good saves at both ends. As last time these two played, Mabridge had a player yellow carded and off for 5 mins. Khazboss took full advantage and stormed to a 5-2 lead. However when the Mabridge player came back on they began to gain the upper hand. A wicked deflection for Mabridge and a quality goal from Khazboss before Evans was sent off for 5 mins for swearing. In this time Mabridge brought the score to 6-5 but Khazboss still had the advantage when Evans returned to the field. However, a late, well taken free kick brought the scores level and so the points were shared. Probably a fair result in the end.

Verdict:
A quality game by two of the promotion candidates. With performances like this, both should go up.

Ratings
Charnock: 8 - Looked out of sorts in defence but when in goal put in a good display considering his elbow injury. Star man by a whisker
Ste Murphy: 7 - Good effort in goal, but deserved to be on the pitch. Got his goal but soft marking sometimes at the back
Heron: 8 - Another solid performance. Going through his best run of performances.
Scott Murphy: 8 - Worked hard for the team. Always chasing and providing good support for the attack
Evans: 8 - Again worked hard. Only blotch was sending off. Otherwise good performance.
